Turkey İş Bank Digital Banking Unit Manager Halim Memiş and the CEO of Birleşik Ödeme Ilker Sözdinler took place in Webrazzi Fintech 2019 conference named “Open Banking concept and API partnerships" that is moderated by Ahmet Bugra Ferah. During the panel Sözdinler underlined that the legislative change is very important for e-money companies, he also stated that the deficiencies of the law enacted in 2005 were removed.

Stating that all e-money companies are connected to the Central Bank, Sözdinler added that the first steps of open banking are coming. He also shared that the ecosystem will develop with new products and services in 2020 and that banks use APIs to provide various services with this development. Stating that 20 banks are currently using their APIs, he also stated that they position themselves as Fintech-as-s-Service (FaaS) for the future.
